After the lockdowns of 2020–22, I found myself searching for a fresh start, both physically and mentally. I needed a place to train, reset, and reconnect with myself. That journey eventually led me to Diamond Muay Thai.
From my very first class, it was clear this gym wasn’t just about training—it was about community, growth, and resilience. Signing up that day was a turning point for me, not just in my personal life, but also creatively.

Diamond had all the right ingredients: a solid fight team, experienced coaches, and a welcoming culture. But its brand identity didn’t yet reflect the strength or energy of the community it had built. The original logo lacked presence, and the gym’s street visibility was low, which is especially important for walk-ins and new members discovering the space.
As a way to give back, I offered to refresh the gym’s logo to bring a sharper, more modern aesthetic that could scale across digital, print, signage, and apparel. From there, I designed new storefront door graphics to increase street-level visibility and make the gym easier to spot from the outside.
The brand refresh led to more creative opportunities:
• Custom gym apparel including t-shirts for members and staff
• Promotional graphics for in-house and community events
• Poster series for seminar events with internationally recognized fighters

Each piece was designed to reflect the spirit of the gym built on hard work and community.
The updated branding has helped Diamond present a stronger identity to both prospective members and the broader Muay Thai community in Toronto. It’s become a recognizable name not just for its fighters, but for the experience and atmosphere it offers.
Personally, this project marked a pivotal chapter in my life where my skills as a designer and my passion for Muay Thai began to merge. It reminded me that creativity can be a form of service, and that design, when grounded in real community, can carry real weight.
I continue to work with Diamond Muay Thai as their go-to designer for branding, apparel, and event design helping them grow their presence and elevate the gym’s visual identity with each new chapter.
